Fun race. It didn't really hurt until the last lap, when my legs felt like they were being crushed. I thought I was going to hit the wall, but I guess I didn't. My laps stayed pretty consistent (28:17, 28:04, 28:16 - for 7 km).

75 min long run style off day.
I had to run after classes, so dusk was setting in as I begin. For some reason I thought it would be a good idea to run from Centennial. I start the run off and it's going fine, but as I get to the single track in the thicker parts of the woods, my surroundings start to feel pretty dark. It's at this point that pretty much every horror flick I've watched is coming to mind. I ran through Grand Chasm, up through Doctors, and eventually I made my way to The Otherside. The Otherside is interesting because it seems to never end, and at some point there's an area where everything appears to be dead (serious witch vibes). Anyway, I skrrt my brown ass out of there and start heading back, but I still had about 20 min, so I took a single track route back that I'm not super familiar with. At this point it's quite dark, the ground was getting sketchy to run on, and I was getting solid chills on the back of my neck. Then, out of nowhere I see movement all around me and I straight up jump out of skin. Thankfully, it was not the witches of centennial park, but some white tailed deer the happened to be chilling in that particular area. I'm spooked and run back to the parking lot. Stayed on wide litty trails for the remainder.
Probably the funnest run of the year.
