We have a new van. Slept in it for the first time last night. Brilliant.
Brecons loop. Mainly on my own but I did the first climb with Matt then another climb later on. I’m pretty pleased with this. It was more steady than the shorter SE runs I’ve been doing this year and I wonder now if I should have pushed a bit harder, especially on the climbs. The pace was comfortable from start to finish. I didn’t really feel I slowed toward the end and I could have carried on for a lot longer. Nutrition good. The main problem with the Brecons is that there isn’t a lot of water about so I spent most the time either carrying half my body weight in water or being desperately thirsty.

Felt great this morning. Fresher than I've felt in ages. Finally got a good nights sleep with helped. 6 x strides were good.

Didn’t sleep well, but probably because I slept during the day yesterday.
Almost back to normal. Stomach a little unsettled whilst running but energy levels fairly good. 8 x strideouts felt excellent.

38 hilly miles. Quite breezy and not particularly warm. Started running out of steam in the final 10 miles.

Another rough night with frequent trips to the bathroom. Completely wiped out when I got up and kept getting cramp everywhere. 3kgs lighter on the scales! Tolerated some toast and horrible sugary sports drink though. Moped around for a few hours in the morning then went back to sleep from 11-1300. Felt much better after this so thought I'd try running. Still drained so very slow and even walked the hills. No strideouts. I should be back to normal in 1-2 days, just a matter of replenishing energy stores.
