Easy out along the canal, keeping to the grass verge where possible. One spot on the ankle is still a bit sore when touched but no issues with it when running.

Out and back along the canal. A bit of tailwind on way out and running into a slight headwind on way back. Kept it comfortable and legs turning over nicely.
Thinking back to last year and even earlier this year, I definitely wouldn’t have felt so comfortable running at this pace for an hour!

60’ Easy + hill sprints

Ran the first 20’ or so on some fairly rough trails, to give the ankle a good pre-Jura check more than anything else. Then the rest on some more straight forward trail. All quite undulating. The ankle was a bit sore to touch in one spot but seemed to hold up fine running on the more technical ground. 6 x hill sprints on the forest road - felt good and explosive.

Easy from the house. Legs feeling a bit of tiredness from yesterday's hills on the bike but generally feeling good. Nice comfortable pace. 6 strideouts on the canal at the end.

Road bike hills
40k / 972m

Started with 20' easy from the house, through town to the foot of Lundavra hill. So many hills around Fort William but this is the only decent length one on the road. A steepish hill but able to stay seated for the whole thing, keeping to a moderate intensity for the repeats. Bottom to top was taking between 7.5 - 8', did 6 repeats with an easy ride back down in between. Finished with 30' easy on the flat. Looking forward to an 'easy' week now before Jura!

1hr 40 easy

Initially the ankle was feeling a bit stiff from yesterday but once properly warmed up it didn't cause any bother. Its a bit bruised and sore to touch but seemed fine running on it, especially at a nice easy pace. Waited until later in the day to avoid the worst of the rain - nice evening to be out in the glen.
