Joining in the 24 hours round the Meadows Movember challenge by the haries. Fitted in a session during as well - 4 x 6 min chill tempo. Achilles quite concerning for the first time in a while but never went worse than 2 even with repping so maybe not too bad..? Anyway, the main thing is that the legs are well shaken before the ferocious FWTN coming this eve.

Really weird HR spike early on up to almost max HR. Not a monitor glitch cause I felt my heart trying to explode and then the watch confirmed it. Really weird. Now I know why I don't like spicy food. One spicy curry for dinner and I almost have a heart attack the next day.

Was unsure whether I should run that feeling a bit rundown today but the group tonight was too good to miss with Tim and Colm as special guests. Paces were quite slow for the perceived effort but settled for a good-looking progression instead of a quality session.

EUOC Movember challenge - 60 MFDs in 60 mins.
Not the biggest turnout on this chilly morning but just enough quantity and quality to make things work. I foolishly stepped on the front of the line at the start and was scared of going too slow and therefore decided that it was a much better idea to fully pop my legs midway through the first rep. Died a slow death on every subsequent rep but at least showed some tekkers on the descents if not on the ups. Horrible experience but that's what makes it so sweet in the end.
Now it's time to rest and wait for what is gonna hit my legs tomorrow.

Evening miles. Contrary to expectations was feeling class. Riding the super compensation or the 2pm coffee wave.
Second attempt of an intro week to winter training was successfully finished in other news. Body's feeling fine. Only ~15 more and I'll be happy :)

Chill Sat ahead of MFD reps tomorrow so joined the parkrun lads for some spectating and also an attempt of pacing Tom for a sub17. Tough conditions for quick times today but at least one man came back with a PB. Good job Dan!
