NavDash #2 on a new map at John Curtin College of the Arts. Technical little area with a lot of stairs. Fine to #1 and #2, and then the leg to #3 was a choice between easy nav around or going through the complex area. I thought going through the complex area might pay off if executed well, because that's how setters often set it, but my route was just horrible with lots of stairs and I lost a lot of time on that leg. Another leg I didn't do great was the one to #13, where it would have been better to go across the car park. Other than that it was ok, although with lots of little hesitations and I just wasn't aggressive enough. You can't afford to take the stairs and blind corners carefully on a map like this.
Oliver beat tRicky and myself by over a minute. Where has he been hiding all summer?

Easy course with R. Explained the map to him at every point and asked him each time which way to go to the next control. He's starting to get a bit better at it.
