Long Test Course at Joshua Ranch. I've been wanting to map this for a while, so excited to finally download some LiDAR and make a basemap to run on. It was very hot, but I made it through. One stupid route choice from 7 to 8 where I contoured instead of taking the trail along the ridge. It was good steep contouring practice, but definitely harder and slower.

This is a download from my Strava phone track because I missed part of the course on my watch. I stopped it instead of taking a split at number 2. Another good reason to be doing these test runs after so long without real orienteering. Have to remember where the split button is!

Test Sprint Course in Downtown Lancaster. This was super fun. I haven't done enough actual running with a map in a long time. I've done lots of mapping and course setting, but very little just running courses. And this was an area that I've never tried to map and run in. I made a quick and dirty map from OSM data overlaying a satellite image. This really got me psyched for Nationals.
