Kentmere horseshoe. Started a long way back so very stop starty going up the first hill. Then I was pretty slow and getting overtaken a lot until half way round. Think my walking speed is a lot slower than everyone else's. Decided to go once the downhill started and caught some people back up. Made loads of places on the last descent. However I then missed a turning right at the end just as I was holding out for the finish and pushing quite hard. Ended up on the road just above the field when some walkers told me and man behind we had missed the turning. My heart sank as o was dead. So walked/plodded back up the road and came across jack who showed us where to go. Saw a girl who I had overtaken half way round about to make the same mistake so told her to turn back and at that point I decided I couldn't let her beat me so pushed on until the end. Very annoying as I must have lost around 15mins. Oh well a lovely day out and guess I can only get better next time.
Worked out I lost 40places and over 10mins going the wrong way, oops
