Wednesday May 18 #

Cycling 1:20:00 [3] 13.5 mi (5:56 / mi)

PACC and commie commutes.

Swimming 42:00 [3] 2.1 km (20:00 / km)

Commie 50 m. 500-100-400 (7.10)-100-300-100-200-100-100-100-100 Job done, but not very inspiring.

Tuesday May 17 #

Cycling 1:46:00 [3] 20.6 mi (5:09 / mi)

3.2 twork and back, 17.4 round the streets of S Edinburgh. Forecast was for 60-90%rain, so we did variations on a theme of the Braids so as never to be too far from home. Turns out we would have been fine to head beyond the traffic lights and potholes. Hey ho.

Monday May 16 #

Cycling 1:10:00 [3] 11.2 mi (6:15 / mi)

PACC commute. Mingin weather.

Sunday May 15 #

Orienteering race 42:50 [3] 2.77 mi (15:28 / mi)
ahr:156 max:178

SOL 3 Loch Ordie. Green. 3.3 km I really didn't cover myself with glory! 4th W55.Lured offline by a beacon control at#1 that was clearly not mine on account of being on no feature, explored some unnecessary marshes on my way to #2, and unnecessary reentrants on my way to #4. I clocked the cairn as a good nav feature on my way to #5 but then didn't use it, and the flag wasn't where I expected. Clean through the easy half of the course.

Saturday May 14 #

Cycling 1:19:24 [3] 16.03 mi (4:57 / mi)

Soaking up some sunshine and beautiful Perthshire views out towards Dundee from Kinnoul and back. The aim was to cruise along the ridge, but CR 77 lured us down to the A85, so not a very neat route.

Orienteering race 23:04 [3] 2.3 km (10:02 / km)

Scottish Middle distance. 1.75 miles on Garmin. Good in parts; would have been a bit more optimal if I had gone to the knoll at #3 rather than the spur above it. Thought I was checking codes, but obviously not. Not clean enough to podium/ medal or whatever verbed noun is in vogue, so it didn't really matter.
Such a lovely lovely forest .
