Thursday Dec 4

Running 1:30:00 [1] 12 km (7:30 / km)
ahr:138
From Hjorthagen to Säcka, then 1hr of a line-orienteering course, mostly very easy navigation...

Wednesday Dec 3

Running 45:00 [1] 8 km (5:38 / km)
Jog around Norra Djurgården
Note
After my crazy, hedonistic, weekend of drinking and partying (2 drinks on Fri and maybe 3 on Saturday, getting into bed by 0100 both nights...) I avoided training, waiting for the cold that always comes after my ABSOLUTELY INSANE weekends of partying. The mouth sores appeared already on Sunday, and I felt tired and took it easy. Tuesday morning woke with some gunk and feeling very iffy. Took it easy Tuesday also. Felt absolutely fine and ready to train again this morning...

This kind of thing happens to me way too much. It seems that going out and taking a drink or two is the straw (with accompanying cocktail) that breaks me. But in general I'm trying to do much training combined with too many other things in life.

Of course beginning my training season with 10 hrs and then 12 hrs is probably not ideal either. Although I got away with this when living as a hermit, I cannot any longer. So I should try to start more gently in the future...

Then I also read that eating fairly regularly yoghurt with the bacteria acidophilous helps boost the immune system. I've been reminded to watch my diet, and get enough fruit and veg. Apparently taking vitamin and mineral supplements is a good idea too, especially when the body is under stress (in my case this is always...).

I got a lot of information from the website http://www.pponline.co.uk/
- I'm not sure if the experts are in the pay of companies producing acidophilouis and vitamin supplement products, but I'm going to just believe them...
