Orienteering Event, Stockholm City Cup Sprint, KTH.

Ran pretty well, but messed up a few times. Worst was the last long leg to 15.
But worst of all was the 12th and 13th - at first glance I thought my left-hand route was valid according to the map, but then, close to the control, I thought the map showed a solid black line instead - an uncrossable wall. But lots of other runners were running the same way I was and coming back from 13 that way. So when I got to the feature, it was actually a stairwell, which I took, like all around me. Afterwards, I felt a little bad doing this, since it appeared to be a solid black line.

Later, however, the organisers admitted an error, which was that a contour line and a stairwell made it look instead like an uncrossable wall. I guess it emphasises the importance of printing a test map and making sure the printed map is the same as the one on a screen, especially along the viable route choices.
