Note
(sick) (rest day)

Planned to do strength training, but got hit by my mysterious abdominal pain. First time for about a year, so hopefully not again for another year! Thank goodness I'm flying this afternoon as I'll be fine again by then :)

Scottish relay, women's open, 1st leg.
It's been a while since I was on first leg. Loved it. Muppet to number 1, thought I had it all under control, but turned too quickly from the start kite. Played catch up. Caught Fiona who was at the front, on our gaffle at least. Ran together for a bit, then major directional error that meant we must've been running through the green, who knows, gps will be interesting. Got caught by the chasing pack. Then I pushed on, back to the front and then pulled away. I seemed to drop others very quickly, so the path route to the next control must've been a good option!
Finished in the lead, which was fun. Delighted for our team as I think we were 5th scottish team (first ever women's team for BASOC?). 3 good runs :)

Scottish champs. A funny kind of race. Not mentally up for it at all, worried how tired I was still feeling. Typically it wasn't my legs in the end that were the problem. Some really silly mistakes!! Ah well, I'm delighted that my legs were actually ok :)

Running 48:52 intensity: (13:45 @1) + (23:49 @2) + (10:58 @3) + (20 @4) 8.22 km (5:57 / km) +34m 5:49 / km
ahr:147 max:169

Oops...saw Dan and Rowena on my way back from the finish and they thought they were jogging for 20 minutes. 50 minutes later...

Feeling exhausted, slept in the car, didn't properly wake up. Borrowed a map and went for a jog.
