Test running one of the Big Foot sprint courses, would have been both had I not gone out to re-run a leg I ballsed up first time round and put a large stick into my shin. Didn't notice straight away but looked down to see lots of blood bubbling out of a deep looking wound so that was a rather abrupt end to training.

Thanks to Jayne & Eoin for sorting me out and getting me to hospital for two nights at RNS, with lots of antibiotics and an op to clean & sew up an 8cm gash.

I'm now hobbling about on crutches (and not enjoying all the stairs in my house) so that's my running for the year over - lucky I'm going back to the UK soon to hibernate.

Werri beach return from Kiama, sluggish to start then early single track and rock hopping perked me up, did the gate to Werri section (~5.3km) as a tempo both ways with a few photo stops which cost me the CR on the return, great grassy, undulating cliff top track though and the surrounds reminds me of Scotland, Caithness in particular. Struggled a bit after that but stretched out the run to the blowhole and finished with an icy sea bath.

Fancy the Werri to Kiama race if it happens again in July.
