Slow plod but HR all over the place and feeling like I am about to be ill (may explain yesterday's dire performance). Just in shorts & t-shirt today as it was so mild. Bumped into bradc so had a nice chat.

Devilla Forest 15km - 17th place

Not a lot of good stuff to say about this TBH. Legs felt crap even with 2 days off and I never really got out of 3rd gear. Went off quite hard to try and get legs to work, but I got stitch and people were constantly passing me. It was a lot dryer than usual (except where the timber lorries had churned up the track). After the 12km water station I could hear the shouts of 1st lady (and it was Fiona from Central) so I upped the pace a bit as she caught me then paced her home just finishing in front of her.

Slower than last year by about 35 secs and the year before I was 57mins!!
