WUOC Long -- 31st

Well this race started off pretty badly. Twisted my ankle 30m after the start kite pretty badly. Got straight up and hobbled on thinking it would clear up. Was a bit worse than a little one though and hurt a bit during the whole race but manageable. Was having to be very careful with foot placement though in the rough terrain. Also couldn't be my usual reckless self on the short downhills there were :( .

In general my plan was to have a strong compass with the terrain being so vague but this often lended itself to a lot of errors in the circle as I didn't have a good entry plan. Got caught by Bojan at 5 then just ended up fairly blatantly following. Got ahead for 2 controls but he was just stronger in terrain.

Annoyingly a bigish mistake on this vague control at the end. Just rocks and rough open everywhere so had no idea what was going on.

Straight to medical tent afterwards for some ice. Eventually doctor decided it probably wasn't necessary to have an x-ray despite it being the bone that was sore. As I could stand on the bad foot. Very stiff in the evening and starting to swell a small amount.

Relay depends on how morning run goes. Pretty much had this exact situation at JWOC 2012.

WUOC Sprint -- 9th

Picked up the map and was happy it was going to be a better sprint than Tuesday. Got into the flow nicely and for the first time in a while the legs were behaving.
2 small misses. To 6 I was unsure if I crossed a hedge. They consisted of small bushes spaced 2m apart and so just in case turned round went back through and round, then a bit of hesitation and bad direction out of 7 on the route to 8 losing about 5 and 3 seconds respectively. So overall definitely a good run in that sense.
Not analysed RC yet though.

Very happy with the result considering how the season has gone so far and nice to do better than the 12th I have come last two times.

WUOC MSR

4th team is pretty awesome. A bit marred though as the courses were stupidly easy and also 3 of the first 4 controls didn't work. At one I punched ran off 10m turned round went back and still didn't work so ran off as the guy I was withs didn't work either. Then was like oh I should pin punch but was nearly at 2 so carried on and 2 didn't work or have pin punches then wasn't so bothered.
Struggled running as well as I would like as just not had the fitness this season but did all I could on the day so happy enough with that.
Cecilie, Sasha and Meg all ran awesome.

Hope the sprint is better but it is the same planner.

Also I drowned my phone so if anyone tries to Whatsapp me I ain't gonna get it.
