Another race, +1:25 to the winner The lesson I learned this time is that knowing the course helps. The climb just after halfway caught me out and I just lost the bunch. Then again 3-5% gradients for 4-5 mins are never likely to be my forte.

I’ve a long history of runs on this route and this pace/hr compares reasonably well (not as slow as it looks with the buggy, hills and two quite boggy laps of sauncey woods). Plus absolutely no tightness or soreness in my Achilles even though this was a morning run.

Easy ride on a brilliant cold but crisp day. These are much more enjoyable now that I have decent kit. Doesn't feel quite right that my hr was +12 over yesterday's zone 2 session as this felt a bit easier. Perhaps partly it's being in erg mode makes it feel a lot harder; perhaps also it's easier to let the effort level creep up on real life climbs where you get more feedback as to how slowly you're going.

Zwift zone 2 ride I guess I am going to have to trust that this was really 'zone 2'. My hr was lower than I'd think of as Z2 for running but it felt about right in terms of effort.
