Orienteering 49:35 [3] 7.5 km (6:37 / km)

Scottish Relays. Leg 1 for the handicap 8+ team meant massed start on the Open course. Made a royal hash of it in multiple places. Ran past a control, stuck in rhododendrons and had to reverse out, couldn't make out the course shape so one 180 error too. Astonished to end second team in class - we should have won, but even 2nd is a testament to teammates Simon and Donald.

Wet. Way too many errors, most of which were my fault. Also tried to turn my ankle. Again confused by the mapping of a tidal boundary.

Juniors did 2*200, 4*400, 2*200 with 200 walk/jog recovery. I tried to follow them and gasp encouragement to the back markers :-)
