Running (Tan) 34:39 [3] 7.01 km (4:57 / km) +51m 4:46 / km
shoes: Adidas Adistar Boost

Not feeling the greatest today. Was meant to go out with Anthony but he had a meeting so forced my self ou.

Plan was to jog to pillars, fast round the tan and jog back. For some reason I decided not to record these things separately and rely on strava segments. Now I'm annoyed I don't have them separate, but
8.20 - 1.5k to the tan
17.39 - 3.7k round the tan
8.20 - 1.5k back

17.39 = 4.44 min/k so pretty pleased with that.

Orienteering (Bellfield Street-O ) 56:44 [4] 10.85 km (5:14 / km) +74m 5:04 / km
shoes: Adidas Energy Boost

Planned to go anti-clockwise to change it up; still went clockwise.

Ok apart from failing to see a couple of controls. 3 did my classic, wasn't the pole I thought it should have been, panicked, thought I was wrong, checked other corners, finally saw it about 5m from where I was in the first place..

Running (Trivia Run Club ) 44:50 [3] 8.01 km (5:36 / km) +71m 5:22 / km
shoes: La Sportiva Ultra Raptors

Feeling more than a little weary but legs didn't seem too bad. Have a theory that the low heel drop of roclite might contribute to sore calf so went for the more cushioned ultra raptors tonight.

Very tired but Anthony was going out so I went too. Right calf was pretty tight but loosened off ok stretching whilst waiting (how do I manage to get changed quicker than a guy). Anthony wanted to do the full lap, though he tried to backtrack a couple of minutes later, and he walked up the hill despite very helpful encouragement "we could just run to the next lamppost". Ran off at the end to make sure I got 7k and got excited. A said "What would Clare say?" The Brownridge family motto is travelling.

Overall, pulled up ok, better than after the Surf Coast Half.

Edit: my right calf is very tight. Hurt a bit in the race and after surf coast so maybe something to keep an eye on.

Running race (TNF Smiths Gully) 1:47:53 [4] 17.69 km (6:06 / km) +549m 5:17 / km
shoes: Inov8 Roclite 280

I didn't sleep a wink last night despite thinking I went to bed reasonably relaxed and taking temazepam. Adrenaline is my friend but it didn't seem to help me get up hills.

Pretty good trail race for me as mtb trails technical enough for me to get heaps of people but not enough to make me really slow. Could see Warwick ahead from about 5k but took me a while to get him.

Felt like I flew down the last hill (though felt like I crawled up the singletrack before it)
