Mountain Biking (Big Chook) 1:59:26 [3] 15.53 km (7:41 / km) +427m 6:46 / km
shoes: Gary Fisher SuperFly

Dropped Glen off at the top of Blue Tier then drove back down to the pub. Managed to see him finish (and check he was still alive). Did Little Chook then up the 4wd track to Big Chook, was not loving the rough climb up the lonely track in rain and wishing I'd gone for a run on the top of the hill instead.

Did love the single track down though - so guess Glen was right. Went back up the road a k to do the last bit again.

Mountain Biking (Flickety Sticks) 1:12:58 [3] 12.05 km (6:03 / km) +281m 5:25 / km
shoes: Gary Fisher SuperFly

Had planned to do Krushka's again but getting short of time and tired so did a loop up long shadows and down flickety sticks (fun!) then back. Cos I knew I was doing shorter tried to push harder. Did mre of the climb in middle crank and got round nearly all the up hairpins.

Mountain Biking (Blue Derby Route 7) 4:25:11 [3] 32.74 km (8:06 / km) +894m 7:08 / km
shoes: Gary Fisher SuperFly

Pretty much all the intermediate trails in Blue Derby. Long way. Krushkas probably the favourite - lot of climbing but flowy downhill. Dambusters also pretty good (apart from the rough uphill 4wd track). Walked down some berms and rocks. Hardly saw anyone.

Mountain Biking (Return to Sender) 1:38:51 [3] 13.4 km (7:23 / km) +385m 6:27 / km
shoes: Gary Fisher SuperFly

First Derby ride, Route 3, up up up and then down Return to Sender. Up all right - took a while. Walked a few rocks and scary berms downhill.

Mountain Biking (Blue Derby Route 2) 1:28:47 [3] 11.5 km (7:43 / km) +286m 6:52 / km
shoes: Gary Fisher SuperFly

Second ride out, not quite as far up as before then down flickety sticks, lots of fun. Howler was probably one climb more than we needed. Deserved the beer afterwards (camping at a pub - genius)
