SHI Relay leg 3 - Megan and Clare ran amazingly to send me off in 2nd. Really nervous and after yesterday's disaster I didn't want to let them down! Took the path route for the first 2 controls, a long way but safe even if i still missed no.2! By no means a clean run but much more careful than yesterday and had a plan for every leg (even if it didn't quite work!). Fanni flew past on the final loop as i was faffing on the wrong hill at 17 and from then i was just hoping to get to the finish before the next england team caught up!
Really pleased we managed 3rd, i think it's the first time we've had a welsh women's team top 3 in the relays whilst I've been a senior which was really nice :) whole welsh team did fab though this weekend :)
Running 17:00 3.2 km (5:19 / km) +10m 5:14 / km
Nicest start I have ever started from!
Orienteering 1:46:00 14.0 km (7:34 / km) +130m 7:14 / km
SHI Individual Newborough.
Yes. That was hard! Having spent 10mins looking for number 1 it was never going to be a good run.. Just really struggled in the tricky bits mostly just running blind into areas without a plan! Actually enjoyed it though despite the many mistakes!
Travelling home for SHI :D
Running 38:44 7.68 km (5:03 / km) +36m 4:56 / km
Down to bridgeview station and back, legs heavy.
