7 AM

Commute 12:00 [3] 5.0 km (25.0 kph)
(sick) shoes: Dodgy Roadie

Ride to work, not sick enough to stay home but sick enough that it was an unpleasant ride.

Sunday Oct 19 #

Note
(sick)

yup, sick.

Saturday Oct 18 #

MTB Ride 3:00:00 [3] 41.0 km (13.7 kph)
shoes: Tallboy LTc

Kala Loop. Stayed on the mapped trails with multiple runs of Lancaster, Feral Groove and Scorpions.

Other than being tired and hungover and my legs felt dead from the start it was a really good ride. Had some really nice landings on a few jumps to show my technique is getting better (also used all of the suspension travel on a few other landings).

The cough that I had since Thursday was not at all helped by the ride however.

5 AM

Flat Paddle 1:07:15 [3] 10.71 km (6:17 / km)
shoes: Epic V12

Two sets of 10 x 1 min efforts today. Which was negotiated down from the three sets that were originally proposed.

It wasn't a bad session, but I was struggling by the 8th rep in each set and just plodded the last couple.
7 AM

Run 23:01 [3] 4.7 km (4:54 / km)
shoes: Hoka Bondi 1

I wasn't exactly keen to run today, but I also didn't want to faff around with the bike after work so this was the best option. Legs felt terrible at the start, though it wasn't having a huge effect on the pace.

What did slow me down was my bag opening and my wallet, phone and watch ejecting on an uphill. I had to walk back 100m to find everything, and then run back up the hill.

I figured that justified today's jam donut.

5 AM

Commute 22:00 [3] 9.8 km (26.7 kph)
shoes: Dodgy Roadie

To/from Blend and to work

Road Ride (Blend group ride) 1:12:15 [3] 38.58 km (32.0 kph)
shoes: Dodgy Roadie

Just five of us today, none of them being the slower guys.

My legs felt pretty average at the start so I didn't take a turn until the freeway, and then my 39km effort was judged too slow so we sat in the mid-high 40's to UWA. Thankfully two of the boys had blown up by then and it was a bit more sensible after that.
5 PM

Commute 11:00 [3] 5.0 km (27.3 kph)
shoes: Dodgy Roadie

And ride home.

Wednesday Oct 15 #

5 AM

Run 49:51 [3] 9.73 km (5:07 / km)
shoes: Hoka Bondi 1

Run from home, felt OK for the first bit but after the 6km mark I was lacking all power and struggled home.
7 PM

Stretching 20:00 [0]

On site we had to do warm up stretches as part of the pre-start, that reminded me how inflexible I am.

So as I sat with Caitlyn to help her go to sleep I did a stretching regime, I have apparently forgotten how to the the lying down ITB stretch, anyone remember?
