Managed to squeeze in a short run between meetings in a day full of meetings. Maybe if we did less meetings we would have more time for work (I'm sure no-one has thought of that before!). Felt pretty heavy the whole way but gradually got faster over the course of the run, which is my standard 5km run from work.

Headed out for a run up to Parc de St Cloud for a change of scene. Plan was to run the 5km to the parc entrance, do a lap of 5-6km in the Parc, and then catch the metro back home, thereby maximising the time in the nice forest rather than slogging back through the streets to get back home. The plan all went pretty well. Not great pace on the run, but climbed some good hills and felt reasonably good. Left arch started to ache a little towards the end of the run. Will need to watch that carefully the next few days.

Long morning run up to and around Central Park in New York. Very cold morning with a slight breeze but clear skies. Great for running. Lots of snow in Central Park, and lots of runners as well. Very inspiring place to be running. Shame I never really felt up to the mark on this run - it was a bit of a struggle the whole way. Planned to do intervals of the 1-2-3-2-1-2-3-2-1 variety, but got up to the first 3 min interval and was really struggling so abandoned the plan and did a series of 1-2-1-2-1-2-1 intervals instead. Not stellar but character-building. Went past Trump Tower where the security was very tight, as is to be expected. No idea if the Prez was in residence. Great to be running in NY and sad to be leaving this afternoon.
