Dublin Marathon 2014

This went well . I had hoped to be under 2:50 but it just didnt happen on the day.
I went out very slowly as it happens not the worst thing in the world went through 10 km in 42 was planning on being closer to 40 but the old gps watch let me down it didnt quite get the start right .
To the 1/2 marathon was definitly my best section felt really good . Was picking up places and was having no trouble.
From the half onwards it just got harder and harder. I kept it quite steady though which was a surprise as it felt like i was running through treacle at times. The end was just a matter of keeping the legs moving and not doing anything silly like trying to speed up. My legs didnt like that so they nearly cramped. Was very happy to finish in under 3. Lots of it was run into a headwind . I also dont think i quite got the eating thing sorted. Missed one of the gel stations .
