Treadmill sweat box - had been smashed about by storm Doris all day so wanted to avoid any more.
5min easy warm up
25min tempo @ just under 4min/km with intermittent hill reps of 200, 400 and 500m @ 5% gradient.

Wanted to be running faster but was feeling crap and barely hanging on at just under 4s. Got better throughout the session.

Feeling a bit tired after site and big hamstring / glute DOMS from yesterday but had to shift it to get across Sheffield to the track

Shuoc (Hallamshire) track

Good session with a strong group of lads. Very different feel to my normal track sessions.

Meant to be 8x 600, 100jog, 400, 200jog. Only managed 7.

Started fast then tried to hang on. Good group to begin but it sort of fell apart after 3 and just down to me and Elkington pushing each other on. Was really feeling it (and the DOMS) after 4, just tried to relax but wimped out of doing the full 8.

Scottish Sprints - Lossiemouth, forest sprint

Great fun!! Amazing forest with just a carpet of moss. Couple of small little wobbles on the compass but pretty clean

Running warm up/down 11:21 [2] 2.2 km (5:10 / km)
shoes: Inov8 X-Talon 212 #4 blue/red

Wd on to the beach - feeling very tired now

Scottish Sprint - Lossiemouth School/Quarry

Started well but perhaps a bit too fast. Wasn't ready for the decisions entering the quarry, rushed rather than slowing to identify the correct path. Lost 30secs. Knew I had lost time so pushed having no plan again and completely fell off the knife edge - massive error costing 60secs. Very frustrating but I now know the limit of my nav at the moment

Running warm up/down 9:03 [2] 1.6 km (5:39 / km)
