Again I don't think I can be too unhappy with this, that's the closest to qualifying than I've ever been at senior level.
At the same time I did lose quite a bit of time... probably adding up to about 1:40.... That would be asking for a completely perfect race though which isn't really realistic.
I was feeling much more motivated for this than I was for the long, I do tend to enjoy middle a lot more. Legs were feeling good too, I was glad I didn't overdo it on the long.
Kept it easy to start off with, 1 was in the middle of some green which made me nervous but got it ok. Fine to 2, fastest split to 3??? I got it well but I wasn't expecting that. 4, fine. Biggg miss on 5, should have been a sorta 25 sec leg but I just went to high and was fumbling around for a while. No attackpoint for 6 so more time gone there, I could see the big rocks behind, but those little depressions are always so hard to find.
Yet another mistake on 7, I was wary of the green again so took a careful route along the rocky spur, but I think I went into the darker green which seemed kind of like the open and got confused. Not too bad though and recovered well.
Perfect to 9, relatively easy though. Veered a bit and hit the top of the hill for 10 when I should have hit the track but starting to get a real good flow now. Wary of the green again for 11 and 12 so took safe roots hitting the big open bit.

Baddd in the circle at 13. Again I had no decent ap so I was just searching around in the green. Runesson appeared then and found it which was handy. Blatantly followed him to 14 and used him to 15 but he just disappeared in the green to 16. I really wanted to get this section well cos I figured lots of mistake could be made. Was careful I knew what I was doing first and then ran harder when I could and I got all the controls then really well.

Still more work to be done speed wise, especially on the hills, but I knew that. I need more practice in the green as well so I can be more aggressive.

A lot of fun, really looking forward to tomorrow.

Disaster to 1... plodded around then and kept it clean enough. I was kind of bored to be honest due to all the long legs with lots of climb and lots of tracks, but glad I did it in the end.

Kind of a meh run. Got 1 well but was sloppy on the sideways slopes to 2 (ended up wayyyyy too low) and 3. Tried to get going then but any time there was a hill (which seemed like most of the time) I just started over heating and just not having a good time.

Some short legs then which I wanted to get cleanly and sorta get going but I was still really hesitant and slow and I started getting annoyed at myself and losing motivation.

Picked up then from 9 onwards, was getting stuff pretty well and I was happy with my route to for the long one to 12. Bit of a bad route to 15 but apart from that solid enough till the end I think. I was still really bad on the hills which was disappointing.

The winning time was 10 minutes longer than expected so I had assumed I'd done really badly from my watch so wasn't really all that motivated at the end. I should really try and stay more positive and keep motivation up even if I think I'm doing bad. I don't think I would have made it but I think low 80s would have been within reach. (83 was the qualifying time on Heat B so you might get lucky)

So I'm a bit disappointed with the race but not too disappointed with the result from the race that I had.
