A little stiff at the start. But ten minutes on the Nordic Trak loosened things up and I saw no reason not to go for the 5k. Felt pretty good, and I sped up at the end to finish under 2:24 for the first time in more than two weeks!

Back still stiff when I arose. But enough is enough. Time to get back at it. Especially since the competition is this coming Saturday.
Felt very stiff on the Nordic Trak. But after ten minutes, things had loosened up, and no pain. So I decided to try a gentle, short row. And 2k seemed to be just right. Back was starting to feel very vulnerable by the end.

Back didn't feel good at all on the rower this morning. So I quit. Probably more fall-out from the Monday bike ride. A lesson for moderation in exercise these days. And not to be goaded into more than I know is wise.

Still stiff from that 38-mi Presidents' Day bike ride. But more energy, so better pace. Pace for first 1k: 2:31.7, and for the last 1k: 2:15.9.
