Warm-up bike to the club house. A bit of an uphill and a cold headwind from the north.

Orienteering - Forest - Training 48:21 [4] 7.3 km (6:38 / km) +128m 6:06 / km

Night cup #6 at Ekensberg, but before lunch on a sunny but colder day. Tried to push race pace and it didn't feel too bad. Navigation good except one hook at 10.

Bike home.

Orienteering - Forest - Training 1:01:32 [4] 8.23 km (7:29 / km) +184m 6:44 / km

Training with ribbons att Vittenberga/Källsätter. Oh boy was this ever sweet. Sunny and 11 C, no snow and almost dry int he forest. Navigation was mostly good, a couple of smaller hooks and one bigger hesitation when a clearcut on the map near a control was a full grown forest in reality.

Saturday Feb 27 #

Skiing - Skate 1:06:01 [2] 13.11 km (5:02 / km) +149m 4:46 / km

Långberget cross-country center. Even harder and faster tracks than yesterday. Double poling was fantastic but almost killed myself on one downhill. Gorgeous place with tracks on the open mountain marshes. Did some skating on the crust with Oliver at the end.

Friday Feb 26 #

Skiing - Skate 56:32 [2] 12.81 km (4:25 / km) +111m 4:14 / km

Sunny morning at Branäs with hard icy tracks after freezing night temps. Double poling in the classic track was great, but skate was hopeless in frozen ruts. Downhills were bone-breaking dangerous. On the steepest hill I had to take the skis off and walk down.
