Couldn't get to sleep, woke up at 3.30, didn't get back to sleep until after 5.

Easy run up to Orrest head, down the other side, tried a track..nope, along the road, across on another track, along a road, back up Orrest head, down into Windermere. Foggy day. Didn't actually see anything from the top of Orrest head.

Great tower wood. Light rain the whole time and foggy. Really nice. Just ran easy. Legs felt better than they did yesterday though. Very slippery under foot. My map bag had a hole in it so a couple of controls I couldn't read anything at all. Aislinn and I ran together, doing our own thing. Did slopes then simplify. Was really good fun. Am happy with how my orienteering has gone the last 2 days. Nice way to end the trip.

We got directed to the wrong area for the maps that we were given by the same person. So we went to the area, tried to align it all, it seemed weird but we ran up a track trying to hit a junction with another track and just got more and more confused with everything. There were some similarities between the 2 maps that we were working off. We thought we had to run from off the side of the map to get onto a track in the middle of the map but we never actually got onto it. Nothing seemed right so made the call to run back to the car in the terrain and go to another map.

Bishop wood. Contour only then standard course. Skipped the low vis exercise because when I went to one of the controls on the contour only I realised that part had been felled and the sun was going down. So I decided I'd done enough today. Legs were quite tired and stiff. Decent nav, just going slowly

Stanage in the rain and wind. Was still beautiful though. I imagine the views would be very nice on a good day. Bits of ice on the tracks were a bit annoying and very slippery. The mud was also slippery.

Started in Edale and ran up and around to Chinley. Was lovely once we got up on top. Snowy, slushy and muddy, which meant it was extremely slippery and slow going up the hills and a little bit interesting coming down. Went for a slide twice coming down but it was a nice smooth slide, just made my bum and hands cold. So many people out today.
