Wednesday Oct 17 #

6 PM

Road running 9:00 [3] 1.0 mi (9:00 / mi)
shoes: Saucony ISO3

Tester jog before tomorrow's Physio session. Better than feared. Achilles grumbly (particularly inside edge near ankle bone) but not too bad.

Tuesday Oct 16 #

10 AM

Mountain Bike 1:55:00 [2] 24.0 mi (4:48 / mi)

Huddersfield, canal towpath to Marsden (with one detour), Wessenden, Goodbent Lodge.

Nasty fall near top of Wessenden. Front wheel went sideways and I went over the side of the track. Fell about 3m, luckily into dead bracken. Took a while to work out if I was OK.
2 PM

Note

Golf with Mick and Roy. 34 Stableford points (14/20).

Wasn't sure if my sore L shoulder would allow me to play but it was just about OK. Probably adversely affecting my swing though. R Achilles sore again. Ice afterwards.

Monday Oct 15 #

Note
(rest day)

Giving pilates a miss this week. Too many niggles to make it worthwhile (L glut, L shoulder, R Achilles).

Sunday Oct 14 #

Note
(rest day)

Gardener Trophy indoor games day (as it was raining heavily outside).
I was rubbish at everything but worse I also seem to have strained my left glut attempting to do 10 pin bowling.

So two injuries from a non-active weekend. Not sure how serious until I try jogging at some point this week. Will be gutted if I'm unable to race undy at the C/S Cup...

Saturday Oct 13 #

1 PM

Note
(rest day)

Golf. Gardener Trophy, Luton Hoo.
Better ball with Nick. Not gelling well. Team score of 29 Stableford points. Record time for a round : 5 hours 20 mins !
Achilles not good either :(

Friday Oct 12 #

1 PM

Note
(rest day)

Golf in St Albans. Two man team Texas Scramble with Nick. Struggled in very windy conditions. Only 41 points.

More worryingly my Achilles appears to have developed a swelling. Not particularly painful but concerning all the same.

Thursday Oct 11 #

10 AM

Terrain running 37:00 [3] 4.0 mi (9:15 / mi)
shoes: VJ Integrator (blue)

Decided that I needed to get back into terrain. 2 miles south along the county boundary from Holme Moss and back. All apparently OK.
