County boundary from Holme Moss.
Cold; a thin layer of ice on the marshes. Amazingly someone had ridden along there on a MTB.
Hip flexors feeling it towards the end. Otherwise all good.

Couldn't resist taking my new shoes out for a spin. Digley and Yateholme. Cruising along nicely. Shoes great except for a lack of grip on smooth damp surfaces.

Home from Sands via Acre Lane. R ankle seizing up again making it uncomfortable. GPS issues making turfing more faffy than usual.

Turfing in and around Dewsbury. Janet was keen to go somewhere different so we drove to Mirfield and cycled from there. She headed north up the Spen Valley Greenway while I headed towards Ossett on the Calder and Hebble navigation. Then swapped over so we could retake each other's turfs. Beautiful day and consequently hundreds of people everywhere which made it slow going.

Down to bike shop in Thongsbridge via a few turfs. Lots of turfers out in Holmfirth this morning. Rucksack with bike shoes and helmet.

Back home via Cliffe and Snailsden. Managed to retake some turfs I'd lost since the run in.
