I think I've earned a rest. A little break from running before rebuilding towards Coast&Islands and S5D. Maybe some cycling.

M21E 10.7km 380m.
Disappointing end to my elite career. Just never got going today. Maybe not the best preparation (camped last night). A couple of small navigation errors but nothing major.
19th place, 37 mins down on Matt Gooch, so outside winner plus 50%.

Poor front 9 more to do with sand than last night's alcohol intake. Also now only get 5 shots on front 9.

Decided to rest up for my last Elite race on Saturday. Hip still not right.
Happy to see the course is 'only' 10.7km. Surely that can't be a full length 90 min race? I'm expecting 70-75 mins winning time, so hopefully comfortably under 2 hours for me. We'll see...
