Correction: surf yesterday was 32-38 feet. Maverick's was showing 35-50 foot with occasional 60 foot sets. Two tourists got swept off the rocks at Bird Rock and drowned. No bodies were recovered. nor are they likely to find anything. Helo spotted one body, but the waves would drive it back down again.

Late-ish start after a few drinks at the Fish Wife with Jed. Classmates all headed out for downtown at 11:30 and I noped out. In my youth...in my youth...
Easy from Mott, down the 17-mile path just to the start of Spanish Bay, flipped it at 15 mins in and the back to Mott. Stayed on the gravel path to Lighthouse and then out to the point. Geeking out on the 25 FOOT surf, rip rap, kelp and sand on the highway. WOW.
Flipped at 45 mins and jogged back to Mott. Walked 3 to start and 2 at the 45 min mark. Not bad for how FAT I am right now.
Clinic with Cal Fire in Carmel at 1400 so gonna try and double up tomorrow.
Rained all night and pouring all morning while I was in bed. Woke up at 0540-ish before my alarm and still raining and blowing like crazy so bagged this morning. Weather moved through and clear by 0700, but up too late at that point.
No worries, gonna see if I can get it in after class. Ride-out with Fire tomorrow afternoon (1400-220), but plenty of time for a double this weekend if I need it.

In the morning before heading in to work. Rained pretty hard all night, but caught a break so charged it.
From Mott, down 17-mile just past Spanish Bay and back. Gravel path had puddles, so stuck to the roads; kind of caning it on the outbound leg. Surprising to see some 7:4x's in there. Jogged back and lost track a little - only had 35 in mind, but whatever.

From the Compound, on to he 17-mile bike path down to Spanish Bay and back. Stunning ocean views this morning, such an amazing place to run.
Walked 3 to start, MFD at about 5 mins - need to walk a bit to settle things before heading out the door. Jogged 30, then walked 2 to cool down.
MFD was in the pre-dawn and mostly dark. Jogged back by and realized there was a decent patch of PO right next to where I paused. FML. Never had a reaction, but the last thing I need is PO on my taint. Luckily, the CVS had Technu Xtreme and the Subway next door serves breakfast. Score.
Even had time for a quick scrub before class. Time management like a BAWSS.
One too many glasses of Pino last night and a little hurting this morning. Gonna try to get it in tonight.

Crammed this in after being in class all day, then an extra 30 mins to get CPR signed of and before dinner. Just made it before they stopped serving at the chow hall. Winning.
Easy from Mott, down the 17 mile path out almost to Joe's Point and then back. Seeing some really nice splits for how FAT I am. Can't wait to drop some of this tonnage and really start ripping. Walked 3 to warm up, jogged the full 30 (YES!!!), the walked 2 to cool down. Rolled the ankle ever si slightly on the transition from dirt to sidewalk by the Fishwife restaurant. Probably NBD, but logging it just in case.
Supposed to rain the next 5 days in a row. Home is supposed to get up to 2 FEET of snow. Comedy since the two fittest guys are up at EMT training and the mountain is about to get BURIED.

Rolled in to Mott last night. Gonna be here for the next month going back through EMT school. *eye roll*. Mostly torture, but lots of time to get the legs back and prep for the 2017 competition season.
On it early so I can make it to class at 0830.
Easy from the digs, down 17-mile to Spanish Bay and back. Cold and a bit breezy, but definitely hardened up from living on the mountain for the past year +.
