Humber again (will I ever escape?)
Wasn't particularly enthused but dragged myself out to appease back.
Effort in km 4 yielded a distinctly unspectacular 4.31
It was pretty windy :)

EBOR Hollicarrs

Choice of this and LEI event - both areas new to me.
Probably chose correctly as the wood was pleasant and although not exactly technically difficult there were some interesting bits.
Unfortunately they had run out of Brown maps so I had to run the Blue.
Admittedly I got there late, but if an event fails to offer pre-entry then surely they should print extra maps... Very frustrating.

Blue was still fun, just a bit short. Last start today :D Lost a few seconds here and there but generally clean.

HALO Knapton Wood

Beautiful little wood. Decent warm up and managed to secure first start :)
Hit #1 ok, but #2 was a vague veg boundary and it took me a while to locate it - very vague [90]
Playing catch up thereafter, not helped by the fact that the event team had neglected to wake up the controls.
Bit of company from Chas upon leaving the open area, then on my own again at the far end (more waking up).
Didn't use the path for either #20 or #21 - unsure whether this was quicker but might as well practise for next weekend. Both times had slight doubt that I was overshooting before spotting flag so need to maintain contact better.

Finished 3rd (of a pitiful 5). Easily lost the 18s up to 2nd with the punching lottery. Enjoyed the soup at download!
