Calf still sore when walking lots today, spoke to Todd and lizzie post race an Todd thought it was either severe cramp, or damage between the calf and the Achilles, it's definitely not cramp but could be a tear or something similar, will look into physios if its not right by Thursday

Checked my phone roughly 20 times between 12 and 6 am, couldn't sleep. Decent run from Harry, very weak run from leg 2, strong run from the two mikes leg 3, set off in a bit of rain v worried about why my breathing wasn't right, overtook 2 on the first long climb then 2 more on the second with a 5th in sight I was getting nearer on the decent when with about 1k to go I kicked the floor and my calf deformed and moved higher up my leg, lying on the ground with two ladies massaging back to where it should be, I was in pain and they lifted me up to try and jog it off, v slow pace to the finish, weirdest experience I've had, still didnt get caught by 1 out of the 5 I'd taken, so I gained 1 place overall but would of been sub 50 had I not hurt myself, pleased with that considering no training and freshers etc, roughly 45/217 but would have got a top 35 I think without the fall

Note

The main positive of the day had to be meeting jonny brownlee and having a good conversation with him about training, after reading their book last year I definitely wanted to meet him!
