1. 390m 7:26 8 +5:02 210% 37.4 4:00 3:58 19:03   390m 7:26 8 +5:02 210% 19:03 Navigated directly to stream but didn't see flag at what I thought was top of stream. Dropped to trail and wasted some time reorienting before following stream all the way to the flag at the top
2. 540m 6:46 9 +2:09 47% 69.3 2:00 55 12:31   930m 14:12 11 +6:47 91% 15:16 Confidence low. Climbed to road/trail junction and proceeded to run past my attackpoint, the (dry) pond by the side of the trail.

4. 400m 3:46 8 +41 22% 84.4 9:25   1530m 21:21 10 +9:18 77% 13:57 Navigating slowly now, Proceed around right perimeter of swamp and along the steep hillside.
5. 260m 2:10 6 +22 20% 86.9 8:20   1790m 23:31 9 +9:26 67% 13:08 OK

7. 310m 4:35 12 +2:18 101% 55.0 1:30 1:26 14:47   2330m 31:33 8 +11:44 59% 13:32 Didn't see flag at top of hill on approach (duh). Wasted time reorienting where stream gets steep to NW.
8. 180m 2:04 6 +27 28% 80.4 11:28   2510m 33:37 8 +11:42 53% 13:23 Slow & careful.
9. 890m 7:20 10 +1:52 34% 76.6 1:00 8:14   3400m 40:57 9 +12:53 46% 12:02 Good route, but distracted at last minute by cluster of orienteers at green control on stream bend.
10. 860m 6:15 2 +4 1% 103.0 7:16   4260m 47:12 7 +12:15 35% 11:04 Pass Tim G. on first competent leg of the day.
11. 1860m 20:54 11 +6:56 50% 68.8 5:00 2:57 11:14   6120m 1:08:06 7 +17:59 36% 11:07 Dreadful route choice. OK at first down trail along stream, but mind gets stuck in trail-run mode and I overrun trail junction. Eventually, I decide to proceed directly downhill to stream and find myself between impassible cliffs at stream bend to ESE of control. Cursing my stupidity as I claw my way up the huge embankment, I finally arrive at the plateau above the control and then overrun it. This error was very costly to my stamina.
12. 1380m 11:47 5 +2:26 26% 85.7 8:32   7500m 1:19:53 6 +19:43 33% 10:39 Phantom trail to phantom pond, then carefully across true pond on log that Graeme avoided.
13. 300m 2:07 4 +15 13% 92.4 7:03   7800m 1:22:00 6 +19:58 32% 10:30 Smooth.

16. 550m 4:24 5 +16 6% 94.3 30 8:00   9990m 1:40:20 7 +21:04 27% 10:02 Crossed two tiny streams before control, then overran it.
17. 1160m 12:30 9 +5:36 81% 58.7 6:00 3:21 10:46   11150m 1:52:50 4 +23:39 27% 10:07 Very tired now. Ran along road until it began to climb. Fatigue pushed me into woods along swamp edge. Fifty meters short of control, I thought I had gone too far and turned around to reorient back on road. Ted G. catches back up.
18. 280m 4:00 4 +1:09 40% 81.9 14:17   11430m 1:56:50 6 +27:47 31% 10:13 All I can do now is walk.
