1. 115m 1:19 3 +22 39% 86.5 10 11:26   115m 1:19 3 +22 39% 11:26 I've managed to lose my comments twice. Let's see if I can get it right this time. Went around on the road, then cut in too early without having picked out a feature.
2. 121m 1:05 3 +9 16% 91.3 8:57   236m 2:24 3 +30 26% 10:10 Just slow up the hill - trying to save my legs for the main events this weekend.
3. 78m 43 3 +10 30% 87.6 9:11   314m 3:07 3 +36 24% 9:55 Slow fighting out to the clearing.
4. 135m 1:27 5 +18 26% 82.0 15 10:44   449m 4:34 3 +54 25% 10:10 Ran straight down and it got greener and meaner. Nate took the trail route and beat me on this split.
5. 127m 39 1 -2 -5% 124.8 5:07   576m 5:13 3 +45 17% 9:03 Right of pond.
6. 287m 2:55 3 +27 18% 92.6 10:09   863m 8:08 3 +1:12 17% 9:25 Just a little slow going uphill.
7. 131m 55 3 +15 38% 87.3 6:59   994m 9:03 3 +1:18 17% 9:06 Slow moving thru the vegetation.
8. 218m 2:03 3 +23 23% 88.3 20 9:24   1212m 11:06 3 +1:38 17% 9:09 Nice angle out to the road, but then I missed the clearing that the map claims was after the bend and I had to cut thru the green - also lost a few seconds behind some sight-seerers (seers?) while I orienteerered thru.
9. 105m 38 1 -3 -7% 106.1 6:01   1317m 11:44 3 +1:34 15% 8:54 Man, I smoked that youngster going across the field - I'm doing great!
10. 608m 11:33 6 +7:59 224% 42.8 5:30 5:57 18:59   1925m 23:17 5 +9:10 65% 12:05 BOOM! OK, the smart route for me would be to run the road, go past C5 and along the creek. But, no, I get this great idea to see if I can tell the difference between dark green and medium green and use that knowledge this weekend (and to lead the way to this control). The short answer is "no". The long answer is that I drifted too far left and hit the dotted stream which was not even on my radar (map OVERsimplification?), then slogged around attempting to relocate. Couldn't do that, until I stumbled along to the correct stream and followed it both ways.
11. 89m 53 1 0% 100.6 9:55   2014m 24:10 4 +9:10 61% 11:59 Towards the parking lot, then up.
12. 76m 27 3 +3 13% 95.1 5:55   2090m 24:37 4 +9:11 60% 11:46 Just get this over with!
