| 1. | opted st - no knowledge that there would be so much tangly green. Real wht woods would have made for an interesting comparison. constant contact anyway | ||||||

| 3. | runner just ahead at 2 - had to get alone! kept on compass - could see necessary knoll across stream | ||||||
| 4. | got sucked into wrong reent for about 20" loss | ||||||
| 5. | variation on st - never saw right. some big midway cliffs to run around. follow north edge of marshes late worked well | ||||||
| 6. | found indistinct path, homefree & st up hill | ||||||
| 7. | compass & read contours - saw flag fm aways | ||||||
| 8. | took long time to get to reent - tad questioning - stream near left, finally saw runner on path & was helped to cp by 2 ahead | ||||||
| 9. | sl ahead of Don Davis - went to stone wall end | ||||||
| 10. | kick heels running toward shiny metal thru leaves- had seen little path & noted in terrain out of corner of eye | ||||||
