Stay below light green for a while - it looks really nasty, but when I get in its fine: soft leaves to caress my face and nothing underfoot.

dropped to road, then cut a corner through terrain. Maybe contouring out of control and taking a right hand route is quicker? Dont see a thicket (is it the greenbriar?), but flag is in about the right area.

right out of 7 to trail, then straight from junction of major trails. Check earthwall, thicket, ditchend, then stuck in greenbriar and lost orientation and heart. First encounter with nasty undergrowth, and unsure whether non-stripy green shows thick forest or briar. Eventually bailed out to track above control, and descended to it (still losing 30s in the circle). A mess.

climb to track - descend to firing range, climb beside fence - straight climb is surely better.

17. It was fun, and a nice change from last week. My study of New World Flora continues apace. I wonder what grows in upstate NY?
