OOC Kingsmere, Gatineau Park: Short advanced

| 1. | Rerun in snowshoes & in this leg I had to avoid parking lot and path pavement: poor time. | ||||||
| 2. | Most of other legs were actually faster by snowshoes. | ||||||
| 3. | Unlike yesterday, I stayed on hill from #2 avoiding crawling under deadwood & followed my own tracks off trail cutting even more directly to #3. | ||||||

| 5. | With fading light & no compass there was no choice but the long run along Trans Canada Trail & N on parkway. | ||||||
| 6. | This was actually finish as I started at #6. | ||||||
| 7. | Not planning to rerun but passed control & decided to go w/o compass. Therefore 1st leg was very slow as I went W on creek, cross parkway, carefully to #8 then to #7 and back again. Tape is still on #7. | ||||||
| 8. | I crossed my tracks from yesterday 4 or 5 times. | ||||||
| 9. | Straight W and over the hill to beaver dam. Grader had been down road. | ||||||
| F. | Stayed more to the N when W towards trail. I liked route choice but comparision says I was too slow. |
