Race Evaluation

Greenbelt Park, MD: Blue

tdgood

1. I was course setter. These time were run several weeks before the meet as I was hanging streamers and checking the course. i ran easy but had rest at each control while I checked the area around the control. Cut corner to road, across bridge, up trail and cut in at bend
2. Went straight.
3. Swung by the parking lot to drop of extra clothing.
4. straight
5. Down trail to field, across field, to road, straight to control staying high around green.
6. Straight. Missed the cut off and had to come back from trail junction.
7. trails. There really wasn't a ditch here even though the map said so. I was slow in area as there wasn't a control there when I ran.
8. Straightish, cross trail, along stream. Got way to far to the left. Not worried as I know the control area well.
9. Up to trail, cut right on trail, to road, around road to bend, Never found indistinct trail, pulled up short.
10. Nice fast run
11. Along fence to where it crossed stream then up to trail. Missed the sewer as it was covered with leaves and I was passing people at the time. I uncovered the sewer.
12. trail to stream, cut up. Had to wing this as my original control location didn't exist. Had to use the same old gully
13. Straight. gimmee control.
14. Another gimmee control
15. Lost of rootstocks in the area. It took me a long time to figure out which one was mapped. If you missed this control and approached from the back side you were screwed because of all the extra unmapped rootstocks.
16. Gimmee control.
17. Up to high trail, across road, down trail. Trails fade out. cut over to field
F. jogged in.
