Race Evaluation

OOC Vincent Massey (Terry Fox sports complex): Short intermediate

boyle

1. Having mp'd myself out of the longer map, I sort of redeemed myself here with many controls I'd already visited. It sure feels like cheating but I get to see that my pace held up well.

4. This was the toughest control and I saw many struggled as I had first time round. It's mapped well but hidden in a short, deep, shaded gully. These were not full-size controls so at speed there very easy to miss.
5. The SI controls for all courses were grouped in three very small areas, sometimes four or more controls. Being a well-used urban park, this course-setting was needed to prevent expensive SI units from being stolen. Thank you babysitters.

9. Richard did well to set controls so that I wouldn't have crossed Heron Road and a mapped red zone which I didn't notice until after the event. Oops!

14. This was the control I missed altogether in longer map. For me, the bundles of SI controls were total chaos. I can't run that fast and concentrate with the need intensity.
15. This control was not on longer map and therefore I hesitated.

F. Without success, I tried to outrun the true winner on her sprint to finish.
