Race Evaluation

Mt. Penn Short Course: Green X

PG

1. Took the main trail to the top of the hill, came in from the direction of #2. Easy, and fast enough.
2. Already knew where to go.
3. South to the trail, across power line, diddled away 20-30 seconds before I realized the cliff was down low.
4. Too low. Saw the flat area and did a left turn up to the control. Another 20-30 seconds.
5. Straight
6. Too far left (just about at the trail junction), but didn't cost anything.
7. Trail up to the paved road, then up the indistinct trail over the hill and right to the control.
8. Right down the trail.
9. NE, keep your eyes open....
10. Sort of embarrassing. Straight down the hill, just a little on the small trail before it turned left, cut down to the bigger trail. Meant to go SE on it and take the control from above, but a fallen tree was blocking the tree. Didn't feel like running around it, so ran another couple hundred meters through the green to the trail north of the control, down it and in the back door. Not pretty, or quick. Could have been a minute faster.
