Race Evaluation

DVOA/Pakim Pond: Green

2. Ran too fast
Did not like map
Lacked concentration
Planned route to depend on nice run on trail going to road; when trail died at edge of dark green, I didn't have a backup planned or stop and determine where what I was running in would take me. Then had to push through junk and fight my way to the road. Discussion with others shows terrain just doesn't match map in there any more.
5. +02:30Was afraid to trust that 3rd fire ditch would be there, so took second one. Worked ok, but had to fight through high brush. Then went in at first stream by mistake.
7. Fought my way to ride and it didn't exist. For a little rest, took fire trail, but that took me backwards a bit. Did locate control fire ditch well, but very overgrown so had to just walk.
8. +00:30Fire ditch from 7 not visible by eye, but by feet. Very pleased with following this, but then bobbled in the circle a bit.
10. Bad route choice
Used fire ditch just to East of control - woods were good enough up by control that I should have cut across to 3rd or 4th one. Ran 1st half of one I used, but met serious brush and even some thorns in bottom half. Really pooped on B trail, instead of being able to run here.
11. Tired
Still pooped - did run/walk spurts
