1. | First leg includes map copy. Fought with windy conditions getting map into bag - looked at trail options and decided to go straight up the hill just right of the bare rock
2. | +00:20 | trail around the green, then follow walls and then downhill on bearing. Wound up just high of the circle, quickly recorrecting
3. | +00:30 | nice leg through nice woods, lots of stonewall segments, just had to keep track of which one I was following, popped through green and due to additional barberry since map was done, did not initially see wall/flag. Another hesitation loss.
4. | +00:30 | nasty barberry crap, white slot in middle no longer exists. Got out the other side onto vague spur, again had to search in the circle for a relatively small boulder (0.5m)
5. | hard downhill run, easy attack from road.
6. | pretty much straight on the line, hedging a bit high rather than risk getting low and having to climb. Got to reentrant and looked down to see flag about 30m down.
7. | this section of hill has always been vague, so I climbed up reentrant and contoured, looking more for boulder cluster/large boulder beyond control - sighted them and then turned to see control boulder - again a fairly small boulder
8. | straight, below rocky spur and straight to control. Large unmapped pit just beyond
9. | +00:30 | north of the laurel and in to cliff - no flag. Looked more closely at map - tags go the other way, up and over knoll into the green to flag.
10. | +00:30 | drifted left to avoid rocky ground before control, got too far left and attacked off clearing on hill top.
F. | straight in, not much energy in the legs today, but still not a bad run. |
