| 1. | Took me a while to find start triangle. | ||||||
| 2. | Up hill to trail. Left along trail, cut over to bigger trail. Cut corner at trail bends. Continued on trails all the way through fields adn doo ride to #2. Control much lower than expected in reentrant. | ||||||
| 3. | +00:15 | Straightish but fell to low adn hit end of trail. Confused for moment by unmapped ditche above earthbank. | |||||
| 4. | +00:15 | Up ride to trail. See Ross Burnett heading to #3. Cut into woods and can see man made feature but not control. Go farther into reentrant and see control. Control is at bottom of reentrant (map is wrong). | |||||
| 5. | +02:00 | Ride to ruins, Up to hill. Down hill and see root stock. Run to root stocks and no control. Opps looking for man made feature. See pile and junk and go to that. No control. Must be at wrong feature but rootstocks match up. See other root stocks and run over to them. See control. Man made feature is rusted barrel drum. root stocks not matched and they hung the control on the smaller manmade feature. BAD course setting. | |||||

| 7. | +00:10 | Out to road, stop for water. See Mike Eglinskin along the way. He is moving quickly. along trail through clearing. Can't see ride because of all the slash that isn't marked on the map. A lot of green sections are missing from the map. Find ride and go to control. | |||||
| 8. | +01:00 | Had decided along time ago to go low along river. Cut low through the green that isn't on the map and get to trail. Run trail and hit wooden steps that go up several contours. Decide it is stupid to drop back down so I go high to upper trail. Little confused along trail because I don't see boulders that are suppose to be there. Hesitate at top of correct reentrant and see control way down there. As I leave control Ross Burnett is coming into it. Darn, he has made up the 4 minutes on me. | |||||
| 9. | I expect Ross to pass me anytime but he doesn't. | ||||||
| 10. | Straight, cut through ruin and get on animal track through green. Peg control. | ||||||
| 11. | +02:00 | Fight my way across ditch and green (not on the map) Got to low and spent awhile trying to match map to reality. Saw houses and finally decided I was to low but don't know how I got there. Greener in area than mapped. Ross Burnett passed me. | |||||
