Race Evaluation

Blue Hills Traverse: Green

1. Straight.
2. Trail to the left, then trail heading right of control, but cutting off on the little trail before the control and up the reentrant.
3. Trail 3/4 way, then straight across the reentrant instead of around on the trail. My guess is that it's about the same.
4. Straight, attacking from the bend in the second trail, rather than running over to the junction. Very slow on the downhill.
5. A bit left of the line, cutting a bit of the corner between the trails.
6. Trails to the left, attacking well before the top and swinging around to approach from the side.
7. Through the left end of the marsh and up the reentrant.
8. Trails to the left, leaving at the bend and contouring around, climbing a bit more towards the end. A bunch of traversers went streaming by me, taking the same route. Only time I saw any one on the course.
9. Straight. Could see the reentrant and the knoll from the trail, making for an easy spike.
10. Trails south across the marsh (probably faster to go west through the marsh, but the trail looked so nice ...). Then stayed on low trail to the right until the main junction across from the open area. Then straight towards the water tower, passing to the left of it and down to the cliff.
F. Straight.
