walk's comments - by leg
| 1. | Time Lost: 01:00 | Went high across sage and hit reentrant above control, paused thinking hadn't gone far enough but then headed down and saw bag. |

| 7. | To L of bigger hill, by small knoll, down to an opening in marsh. Along trail a bit (didn't see it on map) up reentrant to crest of spur and ran unmapped trail up ridge to small hill. Contoured across reentrant and up spur - almost ran into huge elk running away from Oers to west WOW! Hit clearing, took bearing and nailed control. | |
| 8. | Time Lost: 15:00 | As leaving 7, Don Davis yelled out about 2 elk down hill. As he started 6' ahead, it rattled concentration a bit. Up between 2 rocky knolls and then was going to follow lt green to marsh expecting it to be aspens. But aspen all over and wandered a fair bit, eventuallyway E to edge (off) map and saw huge moose along open ridgeline further E. As this wasn't anything apparent on the map, finally decided to figure out location - meadow about 300m SE of bag, oops. |
| 9. | Up to trail around thick green area mapped as lt, and attack from trail bend. | |
| 10. | Time Lost: 02:00 | Thru saddle and down but kept too R and missed, hitting control to W |
| 11. | Headed as if going 11 to 12 until terrain started to rise to L instead of wide reentrant, realized the small ridge was on the map and even had a control I needed to punch. Circled around N side and in. | |
