Queens Birthday III - 2018: Day 1 Hard 3A

1.			P	R		Got the vague spur. Route on Routegadget is incorrect (should be from maps).
2.				R		Good, but still slower than Warwick and 7th on course.
3.			P	R	+00:05	Ramped up the speed to a max of 4 mink but still lost time to Warwick, was a bit wide
4.				R		Got a bit lucky, came up right on it
5.			P	R	+00:15	A bit slow out of 4, and looking at the wrong gully on my right for a bit, then too wide on control. Now 24 secs down on WD
6.			P	R		Took a bit of time back as WD went right, 11 sec down
7.				R		Struggling to stay ahead of Nea
8.				R		Easy, bad split - 10th on course lost 30 secs to Ella C!
9.			P	R		Good, but still losing time to WD, now 25 secs down
10.		D	P	R	+00:15	A mistake - wrong direction from the first termie. Now 1:12 down on WD.
11.			P	R		Best split so far, 2nd to RV
12.		D			+00:15	Turbo engaged, after a bit slow to the fence crossing. Lost 15 secs to Zoe, most of which might have been climbing the cliff and then back down.
13.	P	D	P	R		The wonder split. After a slow start over the rocks engaged turbo and passed Tuve. Was 5 seconds (11%) quicker than the next best from courses 1, 2, 3A and 3B!
F.		D				Held on fast, but slow down the hill. Had passed WD about 50m before 13 and finished 33 secs ahead (but 3:53 down on RV)
