| 8. | Blasted NE to get out of sight of George, looked at the map when I hit the northernmost pond, and went E from there through the laurel. | ||||||

| 10. | Looked back over my shoulder as I was leaving, toi see Charlie take a header, but he got up so I figured he was okay. Contoured to the SW along the steep hillside, which was slow, but executed the route fine from there. | ||||||
| 11. | +02:15 | Not reading map well for the first 20% of the leg, and was going directly south. Got to the big cliff (with dark green behind it) 500 m S of #10 and realized where I was. Route was fine after that. | |||||
