Race Evaluation

Flying Pig IX: Classic Distance: Blue

Tundra/Desert's comments - by leg

1. Follow along if you so wish... Simplified this one. It sort of worked.
2.
3.
4.
5. I was very scared of the major stream crossing, so stopped, made sure I really wanted to do it, then gently descended and walked on the rocks until I could take the side reentrant up.
6.
7. Bad compass work
Confused parallel features

Off one to the right.
8. Went creatively simplistic on this one, too. I think it sort of worked, again.
9.
10.
11. Saw #11 from #10, arguably because I knew where to look already.
12.
13.
14.
15.
16. First thought I'd have to backtrack, but the green was not so bad. I wished I had tried going more straight before, in particular on #8.
17.
18. Had this, yet another creatively simplistic option planned in advance. This one may not have been so swell.
19. Stopped at the car and ate some red vine candy that Eric had generously supplied on top of the car.
20.
21.
22.
23.
24. In all, a good run... did not run out of steam despite being in a questionale shape. Ran even pace.
