Mt. Tom NEOC 08 club champs: Green course

1. Jogging up the road, discovered my calves were really tight and my left shin muscle hurt.

3. Lower legs bothered me a lot on this leg.
4. Did a bit more climb than ideal, I think, and hesitated at the end, to make sure I hit the right knoll.
5. Hiking. Calves hurt.
6. Slightly off my line to the left, had to sidehill.
7. Made a bobble crossing the reentrant just before 7, thought momentarily that I was hitting the one at the downhill side of the flat bit, and if that were true, I was way too far down the hill, so headed uphill steeply before taking another look at my map and realizing I had been just perfect before. Doh.
8. Lost some elevation, had to climb a bit at the end.

10. Hesitated at the road-crossing. Shin and calves were bothering me on the run across the flat bits.
11. Stopped at the wrong boulder, unfolded the map looking for clues, didn't find them, so after a longer look, went to the correct boulder.

13. Went to the little hill before the dot knoll
14. Stopped early, but then kept going, didn't lose much time but not very confident.
15. Got caught up in some deadfall because I wasn't looking far enough ahead of me.
