5. | First 5 controls where really really smooth. Played it like a sprint - took bearing, ran fast, read features enroute until I saw the control feature. Running felt good!

Not thinking clearly | Speed caught up with my brain. Halfway through the leg I forgot I was headed to 6, and thought I was still headed to 5. Realizing I'd completely overan 5, and ran back to 5, where I realized I'd been there before. ARGH!
7. | This one was tricky. Contours were vague and I wasn't confident about distance. At last minute, I recognized the slash (burnt trees) which saved me from following Vlad to the left.

10. | Had trouble with this one, but caught up with John. This meeting would not be as helpful as in Washington.

17. | Ran clean. Thought I finally lost John.
18. | Figure this was easy, since I'd seen the control twice before. Drifted way right and got confused.
19. | Thought it was funny that John was bearing too far right. Turned out I was running toward control 17.
20. | Tired by now. I no longer feel that "flow" that was so great for the first 5 controls.
