5.		From #4 I went SW and ran westerly along the vegetation boundary for a while. I then gave up trying to follow mapped features and basically tried to stay on direct course. The vegetation was quite variable from dense black spruce to fairly open, very wet bog. Stying on course was difficult as game trails and vegetations breaks tried to pull me off course and I found that I had to do numerous course corrections. About halfway I realized I could use the sun finstead of the compass for direction and from then I managed to go much straighter. For the rest of the course I used the sun more than I used my compass.
