3. Shape of the contours just outside the control circle threw me. I stopped and stood for a bit trying to figure out what could be going on, decided the contours must not be mapped quite right, and continued to the control.

19. I lost my footing on the hill down to the control and slid a long ways. Bruised hip was sore for a couple of days.

21. I went right by the control feature, thinking, "that can't be it because it is on the spur and the map shows the ruin on the side of the spur." Eventually, I just stood on top of the spur and watched others who seemed to be punching on the tip of the spur...."that's not it, the control is on the side of the spur." Since they were punching, I realized they were at the control. Clever, don't you think?
