| 1. | Time Lost: 00:30 | Drifted a bit right, missed the saddle, but relocated quickly when I hit the gullies just east of the control. |
| 2. | Accurate, but moving slowly. Met David just before the control (I got ahead of him when he boomed #1). He agreed to stay at the control for a few minutes so we wouldn't be following each other. | |
| 3. | Straight, spiked. | |
| 4. | Ran loose to the trail crossing. Used the bend in the trail just N of the saddle as an attack point. | |
| 5. | Followed the big reentrant down to the stream. Then used bearing and pace. | |
| 6. | Ran a bit loose, just keeping track of the reentrants and not worrying too much about how far up the slope I was. Knew I was low when I got close because I was still below the steep section. Saw Rob, Jeff, and Suzanne leaving the control. | |
| 7. | Blasted down and passed the group. Caught the reentrant going up and followed it to the control. | |
| 8. | Trail around was probably faster, but I went fairly straight just to get the practice. Once back on the trail, it was an easy control. | |
| 9. | Blasted the trail and then went along the edge of the spur to the control. Was about half a line low, but spotted it OK. | |
| 10. | Straight west to the trail, which was probably slower than taking the stream. Once up to the trail, it was fast. | |
| 11. | Went slightly left so I wouldn't overrun it. Caught the big reentrant and followed it in (almost missed it - the top of the little reentrant is further up the hill than it looks). | |
| 12. | Along the stream which was kinda thick, then straight across the spur to the hillside. Even at night, the reentrant was easy to spot. | |
| 13. | Thought about going to the right of the hilltop which is objectively the fast route, but didn't want to screw up a good run with a boom. Took the safe route over the top of the hill and followed the ditches down to the control. |
